This is Parenting

I read this article and air mata bergenang laju jee turun.

MUST READ FOR ALL MOTHERS:

This is Parenting

The first years of parenting knocked me on my a**.

I had postpartum depression twice, and our son was a colicky baby.
As an introvert who values my freedom and space, it took me a few years to truly acclimate to parenthood. Then, just as we were starting to get into a groove, we added a second child to the mix. For many months after our daughter’s birth, I was triage parenting—constantly trying to figure out which child needed me the most while the other one cried.
More than anything else, early parenting felt like chaos.
But now, we’re crawling out of the trenches. And I’m mourning how fast it’s going. I want to freeze time a bit. I want to savor these days. These days of watching our son learn to love books, or sit at the dining room table coloring, or practice his Tae Kwon Do routine to loud techno music, darting around the living room. And our daughter, who only has a few short years left before kindergarten squeezes the baby out of her, before her spine straightens, and her sing-song preschooler voice fades.
Time is slipping away. And as the chaos fades into something more like fullness, I am seeing how damned sacred it all is.
To watch someone come into the world, to know them before you even know their name. To attend to their cries, their hunger, their fear. To feed them. To bathe and change them, to witness them in all their vulnerability, all their naked humanity. To accept them as you’ve probably never accepted anyone before. To watch your own brain rewire, connecting you to a chain of parents throughout time, turning you both stronger and more vulnerable at the same time.
To feel the muscles of your heart stretch and hum and grow so you can love in a way that is different than any other love. To use that strong heart to forgive them when they frustrate you, when they test your limits over and over again.
And even more, to forgive yourself when you’re empty on patience, when you think maybe I’m just not cut out for this whole parenting thing.
Underneath all the trappings of life, the costumes we wear, the possessions we surround ourselves with, the titles we hold— beneath it all we are human creatures who breathe and shit and love and fear and die. In the same way that watching someone leave their body is sacred—so is watching someone live. Watching them enter the world, grow, shedding their skin over and over again, stepping into new versions of themselves, with or without grace. To discover that when someone arrives in the world, they are already exactly who they are meant to be.
It’s hard and hilarious and humbling.
And it’s sacred.
Not in the Enjoy every moment you are so very blessed way. Not in the Isn’t it all just so magical? way. But in the way you can go from ohmygod if somebody says mommy one more time I’m going to Van Gogh my ears to a few hours later as you watch their sweet moon faces sleep and you hear yourself whisper aren’t I the luckiest person in the world?
Parenting rearranges us, offers us new lenses to see the world, lenses we were born with but that got shattered or lost over the decades: like when my son races outside to smash ice with his boots, and I slow down enough to join him, finding pleasure in that sound that ice makes as it begins to surrender beneath our feet. Or how ecstatic my daughter is when I return from the grocery store, lugging her favorite fruits.
Our kids remind us to squint and see the world with fresh eyes; sometimes it’s amazing and sometimes we are just too damned tired and rushed to take it all in.
Parenting is to know all the previous versions of someone, to hold them inside your mind as they grow, as they unfold. It’s slowly learning to let go on the outside as their lives begin to take shape, separate from your own, while on the inside, in your strong, tender parent-heart, you never let go at all.

The First Three Years

MY DEAR MUHAMMAD HAMZA MOHD ZULKARNAIN
For the day, you were born
I was cut open
For the hideous scar
The bloated belly
The swollen and aching joints
The long and sleepless night
For the first time, I’ve seen your face
With the wires and tubes
For being so tiny and helpless
For the first time, you opened your eyes
I fell in love
For the lovely smile
The infectious laugh
The smiling eyes
You have grown so much
The tiny hands wrapped around my neck
For the endless kiss
The small hugs
The screaming and crying
The messy lunch
For the secret code
The special bond
I can see the love from your beautiful eyes
You are the greatest gift from the Almighty
My little Angel from Heaven
You are my son, my love, and my joy
I love you forever and far beyond eternity.

P/S: Yes, we are expecting :)

HAMZA EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM - TIM ATHFAAL

Hamza dah start sekolah effective July, 2015
Sekolah yang dipilih - TIM ATHFAAL
Kelas ANIS (Anak Istimewa) - Early Intervention Program (EIP)
ada lebih kurang 40 student Autism, ADD, ADHD

First day sekolah memang menangis
tapi lepas tu ok je
hantar je nangis
but dekat sekolah teacher kata dia boleh ikut arahan and tak banyak karenah
terus pandai makan sendiri sampai teacher tolong suap pun dia tak bagi

Why TIM-ATHFAAL?
Aku ada terbaca review dari blog mommy yang pernah hantar
perkembangan positif pada anak
dari non-verbal dah boleh bercakap
sebelum ni dikenali sebagai Tadika Indah Murni and ada a few student Autism
Pastu banyak demand so dorang bukak cawangan baru
kelas ada kategori: ANIS, PRESCHOOL, PLAYSCHOOL and NURSERY

TIM-ATHFAAL takda specific treatment macam ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
But they focus pada self help, social skills, fine motor skills
The best part ada include speech therapy and occupational therapy
Selain tu ada music therapy, autism movement therapy, Brain Gym
Added Value: Islamic based therapy
Dekat sekolah ada Ustaz yang akan ajar doa bila morning assembly
ada group session and one to one
ada jugak water therapy tapi tu additional fee so tengah fikir-fikir lagi

aku enrolled Hamza untuk Full day Program from 8.30am - 3.30pm
Tapi 7.30 dah hantar dia pergi sekolah sebab sadly we're both working slaves
Pergi abah dia hantar pasal abah dia masuk kerja pukul 9am
Balik ummi ambik pasal ummi keluar office 5.00pm
Sebab nusery dah penuh , school akan hantar hamza ke transit nursery yang selang 1 blok
transit nursery pun Alhamdullillah so far so good
owner sangat baik dan jagaan yang baik so far (Bondamama branch)
will talk about transit nursery in separate post

Hamza ada dapat communication book
basically teacher akan tulis daily activity
mostly apa task yang hamza buat what he can and can't do yet
Teacher Hamza nama dia teacher Suhaila
MasyaAllah baik dan friendly
Teacher Su pun ada anak special needs so she knows exactly what she's doing

Apa-apa pun aku nak say whole lotta THANKS WITH HUGSSS AND LOVEE
to TEEFA yang share pasal TIM-ATHFAAL ni
she's the one yang inform pasal TIM-ATHFAAL dah buka kat wangsa maju
Dia siap pergi Open Day
So aku terus macam what the heck just go check it out
sebab aku sebenarnya macam dah putus asa bila check harga EIP kat Malaysia
ni semua RIBU-RIBAN untuk 3 jam sehari kalau untuk daily program
Sesuailah sebab memang 1-1 program and you have your own therapist
Aku mula-mula pun fikir nak register NASOM je but hesitated
sebab jauh dari perjalanan kitorang lakibini nak pegi keja

So bila pergi borak dengan Teacher Su...pastu jumpa Manager dia Ms Rushd
terus jatuh cinta and the rest is history.
I can see Hamza is happier than ever!

Pasal fee don't worry...definitely will not leave you broke
aku sangat BERTUAH sebab company fully covered bulan-bulan yuran
untuk any rehabilitation program for Hamza sebab dia ada OKU card
Aku bersyukur sangat ada employer yang prihatin kepada anak-anak OKU
By right aku boleh pergi mana-mana EIP Mahal gila tu sebab fully covered - no limit
tapi aku sendiri tak mampu nak dahulukan duit dulu...hahaha
so yeah takpa, so far I am confident with TIM -ATHFAAL
InsyaAllah, kita tengok dalam 6 months macam mana

Seronok naik kereta tapi bila sampai simpang wangsa maju menangissss
and yeah hamza telah dibotakkan atas sebab-sebab tak dapat dielakkan
will story later if I have time
ummi SEDIH!

Next aku akan cerita improvement Hamza sejak sekolah
mungkin sikit tapi besar maknanya pada aku

Hamza first day of school recorded
walaupun kena bangun 6.30 pagi tapi excited dia tuuuuu

Special

Some of my close friends already knew this
My son, Muhammad Hamza just diagnosed with Autism (Mild-Moderate)
from NASOM and Child Development Centre (CDC), HUKM
We are currently searching for the best therapy and early intervention program
for Hamza (that will not bankrupt us because autism is expensive)

So apa reaction aku masa child psychologist bagitau result assessment dia?
I felt relieved.
seriously lega.
Because I've been observing Hamza since he's 15 months.
I can't denied the fact that he's a late bloomer
at 16 months dah bawak dia buat hearing test and Alhamdulillah normal.
So I've waited until 20 months (adjusted age) to hear his first word
There's none.

So I wait no more and started calling Nasom and CDC buat appointment
untuk assessment.
bawak jugak speech therapy assessment and the SLP pun expressed her concerned.
memang ada traits autism tu.

At first , I made myself believe it probably ADHD
Because he's really hyper, short attention span etc
But from time to time, the traits become more obvious
from the hand flapping, stimming, less eye contact and tip toeing.

I started searching for more articles about Autism
watch more youtube videos on the treatment
join FB "Austime Malaysia, "Kelab anak Autisme"  and more

So yes,
when I heard the diagnosis, I felt relieved.
I got more assurance from Child Development Centre (CDC) HUKM
Time wasted no more and this is the best age to get the help he needed.
Now I have the answers, I just have ask more questions.

Did I cry?
Yes, loads.
But I cried because I feel like I'm not doing good enough for Hamza, yet.
He is my son and I still look at him the same just like before the diagnosis.
He is the same person.
He just need more support, love and attention from us.

I didn't share his condition on other social media because I don't want sympathy or likes
I just want your Doa.
However, I will blog more about  our journey, Insya'Allah
I will only blog to share info for future special supermom and superdad out there.
I'm still learning and this is just the beginning of our wonderful journey.

Faculties of Mind

I have so many things going on that will change our lives forever
I have so many things I look forward to
I will keep my chin up with my head held high
I will not be defeated
I will try and I will do it
I will never stop learning
I will always be searching
I will keep praying
and everything I do, I do it for you my dear son.

"Hold my head inside your hands,
I need someone who understands.
I need someone, someone who hears,
For you, I've waited all these years.

For you, I'd wait 'til kingdom come.
Until my day, my day is done.
And say you'll come, and set me free,
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me.

In your tears and in your blood,
In your fire and in your flood,
I hear you laugh, I heard you sing,
"I wouldn't change a single thing."

Today Is Perfect

I read this article written by Megan Morton in HuffPost Parents
I feel like crying
This article makes me want to savour everything I have now
Makes me appreciate all those little things my son does
Makes me appreciate life
Because when that 'one day' come,
I know I will keep myself busy
to make room for the emptiness of not having my children around
Because they all have grown up and have their own lives

So, here's the article:

"MOMMY, SOMEBODY NEEDS YOU"

Ever since we brought our new daughter home,
her older brothers have been the first to tell me when she is crying, whimpering
or smelling a little suspicious.
 "Somebody needs you," they say.
I have no idea how this little saying started, but at first it sort of annoyed me.
I could be enjoying a quick shower...
"Mommy, somebody needs you. The baby is crying."
Or, sitting down for a second, quite aware that the baby was beginning to stir from a nap....
"Mama, somebody needs you!" OK! I get it already!
And not to mention that the newborn's needs pale in comparison to the needs of two little boys. Somebody always needs a snack, a band-aid, a different sock, ice cubes in their water,
a NEW Paw Patrol, a stream of snot wiped, a hug, a story, a kiss.
Some days never seem to end, and the monotony of being "needed" can really take its toll.
Then, it all started to hit me, they need ME. Not anybody else.
Not a single other person in the whole world. They need their Mommy.

The sooner I can accept that being Mommy means that I never go off the clock,
the sooner I can find peace in this crazy stage of life.
That "Mommy" is my duty,
privilege and honor. I am ready to be there when somebody needs me, all day and all night.
Mommy means I just put the baby back down after her 4 a.m. feeding
when a 3-year-old has a nightmare.
Mommy means I am surviving on coffee and toddler leftovers.
Mommy means my husband and I haven't had a real conversation in weeks.
Mommy means I put their needs before my own, without a thought.
Mommy means that my body is full of aches and my heart is full of love.

I am sure there will come a day when no one needs me.
My babies will all be long gone and consumed with their own lives.
I may sit alone in some assisted living facility watching my body fade away.
No one will need me then. I may even be a burden.
Sure, they will come visit, but my arms will no longer be their home.
My kisses no longer their cure.
There will be no more tiny boots to wipe the slush from or seat belts to be buckled.
I will have read my last bedtime story, seven times in a row.
I will no longer enforce time-outs.
There will be no more bags to pack and unpack or snack cups to fill.
I am sure my heart will yearn to hear those tiny voices calling out to me,
"Mommy, somebody needs you!"

So for now, I find beauty in the peaceful 4 a.m. feedings in our cozy little nursery.
We are perched above the naked oak trees in our own lavender nest.
We watch the silent snow fall and a bunny scampering across its perfect white canvas.
It's just me and my little baby, the neighborhood is dark and still.
We alone are up to watch the pale moon rise and the shadows dance along the nursery wall.
She and I are the only ones to hear the barn owl hooting in the distance.
We snuggle together under a blanket and I rock her back to sleep.

It's 4am and I am exhausted and frustrated, but it's OK, she needs me. Just me.
And maybe, I need her too. Because she makes me Mommy.
Someday she will sleep through the night.
Someday I will sit in my wheelchair, my arms empty, dreaming of those quiet nights in the nursery. When she needed me and we were the only two people in the world.

Can I enjoy being needed? Sometimes, sure, but often it is tiring. Exhausting.
But, it isn't meant to be enjoyed every moment. It is a duty.
God made me their Mom.
It is a position I yearned for long before I would ever understand it.
Over a three-day weekend, my husband couldn't believe how many times our boys kept saying, "Mommy. Mommy. Mommy!"
"Are they always like this?" he asked, not able to hide his terror and sympathy.
"Yep. All day, everyday. That's my job."
And I have to admit that it is the toughest job I have ever had.

In a previous life, I was a restaurant manager for a high volume and very popular chain in
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. with the expo window
overflowing with dishes, a two-hour wait and the electricity inexplicably going out
has got nothing on a Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. at the Morton house.
And let me tell ya, South Florida diners are some of the toughest to please.
But they are a cake walk compared to sleep-deprived toddlers with low blood sugar.
Once upon a time, I had time. For myself. Now, my toenails need some love.
My bra fits a little differently. My curling iron might not even work anymore, I don't know.
I can't take a shower without an audience. I've started using eye cream.
I don't get carded anymore. My proof of motherhood. Proof that somebody needs me.

That right now, somebody always needs me. Like last night...
At 3 a.m. I hear the little footsteps entering my room. I lay still, barely breathing.
Maybe he will retreat to his room. Yeah right.
"Mommy."
"Mommy." A little louder.
"Yes," I barely whisper.
He pauses, his giant eyes flashing in the dim light.
"I love you."

And just like that, he is gone.
Scampered back to his room. But, his words still hang in the cool night air.
If I could reach out and snatch them, I would grab his words and hug them to my chest.
His soft voice whispering the best sentence in the world. I love you.
A smile curls across my lips and I slowly exhale, almost afraid to blow the memory away.
I drift back to sleep and let his words settle into my heart.

One day that little boy will be a big man.
There will no longer be any sweet words whispered to me in the wee hours.
Just the whir of the sound machine and the snoring husband.
I will sleep peacefully through the night, never a worry of a sick child or a crying baby.
It will be but a memory. These years of being needed are exhausting, yet fleeting.
I have to stop dreaming of "one day" when things will be easier.
Because the truth is, it may get easier, but it will never be better than today.
Today, when I am covered in toddler snot and spit-up.
Today, when I savor those chubby little arms around my neck.
Today is perfect.
"One day" I will get pedicures and showers alone.
"One day" I will get myself back.
But, today I give myself away, and I am tired and dirty and loved SO much, and I gotta go. Somebody needs me.

Looks like I've been abandoning my blog for a while now
serius banyak gila nak update
gambar semua dalam ipad and phone
bila kat rumah dah tak larat nak buat apa pun

So today first day of school
Thank God the traffic was okay.
I was so nervous this morning sebab dah 2 months suka hati aku je keluar lambat
sebab gerenti sampai by 8am
But today keluar 7am sharp

Do I have any new year resolution?
Honestly takda.
Just pray for more rezeki for my family
peluang yang lebih banyak untuk bagi yang terbaik kepada anak

So masa end of 2014, I took 16 days leave

duduk rumah tak buat apa just chilled dengan suami and anak
seriously we didn't go anywhere
hari hujan mostly
Dah nak habis cuti baru terkedek-kedek nak kemas itu ini

To this:

Eh samaaa je
hahaha my organising skills sucked
sebenarnya ada tak habis kemas lagi
aku beli rak aluminium murahan tu kat ikea dengan harga murahan juga 39 only
lucky me masa beli memang tinggal 2 je
so I need to add more storage rack kalau nak kemas betul
tunggu cuti panjang hujung tahun lah

Time cuti for the first time ever bawak hamza pi indoor playland
sebelum ni usha usha je (damn you rotavirus buat aku paranoid)
but now I'm confident enough to let my kid play and mingle with other kids and germs
He's a big boy

Swallowed

Semalam aku mandikan hamza pasal bagi dia makan sendiri
so lepas mandi aku pakaikan bedak kat badan
tengah aku pakaikan seluar dia ambik bedak masuk dalam mulut
aku biar pasal aku confident dah tutup habis
rupanya ada terbukak lagi!!!
tau-tau dah putih dalam mulut hamza dengan bedak
dia pulak terkejut ada benda dalam mulut dia nganga je mulut
bila aku cuba masukkan kain nak lap bedak kat lidah dia
dia pi gigit jari aku sekuat hati pastu dah telan bedak tu
Ya Allah aku punya panikkkk
hamza makan bedak!!!
terus bagi air
terus tepuk-tepuk belakang dia

tapi nampak ok je aktif takda apa
tak puas hati aku google
"what if my toddler swallowed baby powder"
nahhhh kalau kat US dorang boleh call poison centre control
kat sini nak call sapa?
so ada mommy yang kata takda masalah asalkan dia tak choked atau masalah breathing
ada yang kata immediately bawak pi emergency
pasal bedak kat particle dia halus so bila masuk dalam lungs akan jadi gel and block pernafasan
macam nak pengsan aku baca
last-last aku ambik keputusan untuk monitor dia dulu
tengok breathing dia cemana
aku bagi dia susu pun minum ok je takde muntah

sebab aku masih tak puas hati
aku pun pi makan bedak tu
aku nak tau cemana hamza rasa so that aku boleh tau if anything happened
atau dia merengek tak selesa ka
Ya Rabbi bedak ni bila kena lidah dia terus melekat weyyy
macam gel...nak telan pun likat
pastu payauuu and kelat
haduii kesian anak aku

pastu aku bilas dengan air masih ada rasa wangi dalam mulut
aku pun minum susu since hamza minum susu kan
samaaaa masih rasa wangi and kelat lidah
huwaaa kesiannyaaaa hamza
now I want to scold myself for being so careless!!!
Aku dahla jenis yang tak pakaikan bedak kat muka hamza sebab nak jaga
taknak dia inhale pasal bahaya kan
sekali anak kau makan bedak!
bad mom!
Bedak anakku ni walaupun ada cornstarch tapi still bukan pure cornstarch

source

semalam aku terjaga-jaga nak check breathing dia
Alhamdulillah he seems fine
Hopefully takda apalah
so lepas ni aku taknak beli bedak yang kena pusing tutup ni
pasal tak perasan kan dah tutup habis ke belum
aku akan beli bedak yang katup terus
ataupun takyah pakai bedak lah
pakai lotion ataupun liquid talc mothercare favourite aku ni
tak payah risau pasal debu bedak
bau pun wangi
tak pasal promosi kan

How Do You Talk To An Angel

Hamza is 23 months old
31 Ogos ni genap 2 tahun.
Adjusted age dia 22 months.
For now, hamza belum bercakap lagi.
If umur anak 2 tahun and belum bercakap 50 words or more, means dia late talker

Masa umur dia 16-18 months aku dah buat hearing test
Alhamdulillah hearing dia normal
Then ada buat speech therapy assessment
Specialist kata, Hamza memang late talker since vocab dia limited
also ada kene mengena dengan focus dia yang cepat distracted
However dia faham apa yang kita cakap
dia jugak buat masa ni takda sign of autism
Specialist cakap lepas umur 2 tahun kalau tak cakap jugak baru dorang buat appoinment untuk Hamza

so sejak tu aku dah tak risau sangat
we both agree,
lepas Hamza capai 2 tahun adjusted age baru kami akan join speech therapy class
To date, dia cuma babble je
macam "bababba" "mamama" "tetetet" "lalalaa"
takda oooo or eeeee or iiiii

Kalau dia nak attention, dia akan datang kat aku and peluk
atau tarik sambil kemam "mmmm"
kalau dia nak aku join dia baca buku, dia bawak buku tu kat aku and tarik
kalau aku tak layan dia marah and gigit
sometimes time aku baring tiba-tiba dia gigit...
so maknanya dia nak aku ajar dia something la tu
kalau tengok aku makan, dia nak jugak..dia akan buat bunyi "tsssssss"
macam bunyi ular tu
hahahaha
kalau dia over excited dia akan jerit atau tepuk tangan and cakap "yeayyyy"
kalau dia rasa boring dia akan membebel "awwwuuuu awwwuuuu"

Mula-mula aku macam eh apa lah awak ni gigit pulak nak attention
but bila aku tengok link speech therapy kat Youtube mentioned
any form of physical interaction means he is trying to communicate
thus it's consider a word

So aku appreciate sangat apa-apa sahaja gesture terbaru yang hamza buat
because it's his way trying to communicate his feelings, his needs
cuma tak terzahir oleh perkataan je
Also shows he understand you and he wants you to understand him

at the same time aku jugak buat research sendiri kat youtube or any article kat internet
apa yang aku as parents boleh buat untuk galak anak bercakap
For the time being apa yang aku buat just basic technique
Contohnya:

1. Repeat 3 times any description/ word/ action
contoh time nak bagi susu aku cakap "susu, susu, susu" sambil tunjuk botol susu
sounds obnoxious and so far belum berhasil but proven boleh menjadi kalau buat selalu

2. Describe anything to your child using simple word
Contoh : time mandikan bila aku isi air aku akan sebut "air...air...air"
pastu time sabun "sabun badann"
time simbah air "mandiiiii"

3. Jangan bertanya tapi bercakap as if dia faham
jangan pressure "ini apa?" "ni warna apa?" "ni gambar apa?"
sebab nanti anak jadi distracted and boleh rasa yang kita ni intimidating
instead just describe sambil tunjuk
Contoh aku suka beli hamza buku yang ada gambar besar and satu je
so senang describe "apple" or "flower" or "train"

4. Bercakap sambil buat bunyi/ action/ overreacted kan perkataan
Contoh: SINGA so buat bunyi "roarrrrrrrr"
pastu kalau nak ajar "duduk" so tunjuk cemana duduk and cemana berdiri
masa nak duduk and berdiri tu buatla macam kelakar sikit supaya dia gelak
at the same time dia akan ingat gesture tu and associate dengan word
Bila ajar ABC atau 123 secara nyanyian
lagu charlie and the numbers  bagus

5. Menyanyi

6. Phonics
Aku install phonics song kat Ipad bagi dia tengok. Tapi bila dia dah boring aku terus simpan ipad
and bagi dia tengok esok pulak
at the same time aku sendiri nyanyi balik phonic song  tu kat Hamza
so bila aku start buat "A...AA AA AA AAA"
B...BAAA BAAA BAAA BAA BAA BAA"
C...CA CA CAA CA CA CA
Hamza dah sengih and tunggu aku nyanyi sampai Z sampai tak cukup nafas
sila lah beli apps "SONGS STORIES" ni sebab phonic dia best and comel gila

7. Amalkan Surah Taha ayat 25-28 (Doa penerang hati)
Aku baru terjumpa sebenarnya tips ni ada yang share kat blog
tentang Surah TAHA Ayat 25-28

Maksudnya:

"Wahai Tuhanku! Lapangkanlah dadaku.
Dan mudahkanlah bagiku urusanku.
Dan bukakanlah simpulan dari lidahku.
(Supaya) mereka memahami perkataanku."

Buat masa ni itulah a few things yang kitorang buat
ada yang dah nampak hasil contohnya dia dah faham apa yang kita cakap
contohnya makan, minum, simpan, duduk, minum susu
Cuma dia tak bercakap je lagi
I know you can my baby
Ummi will always be there for you cepat or lambat
InsyaAllah
Love you son!

21 months

Hamza dah 21 months
1 tahun 9 bulan
Hujung bulan ni dah 22 months
Means lagi 2 bulan birthday dia... yang ke 2 TAHUN
takda kira bulan dah
2 TAHUN...
Dah besar anak aku ni
ada a few reason why aku rasa dia dah besar sangat
walaupun belum pandai cakap lagi

1. DAH TINGGI
5 bulan lepas tinggi dia cuma 75cm je
sekarang dah 85CM
Terkejut aku 10cm naik dalam 5 bulan
selalu kan 1cm sebulan kan
masa check up 28 Mei ni ukuran dia:

Tinggi: 85cm
Berat 10.5kg

Berat dia turun pulak padahal makan ok je selera
mungkin sebab dah lasak kot

2. MAKAN NASIK
Yee anak aku akhirnya pandai makan nasik
tapi dia masih suka makan bubur2 tu
but now senang sikitla especially bila keluar aku dah malas nak bawak bekal
sebab dia boleh makan nasi ayam (his favourite)
tapi nasik jela...lauk dia x suka
kalau bagi ayam kena carik haluih haluih
kalau kasar dia hisap2 pastu luah
tu sebab aku suka blend je lauk senang kerja

3. GIGI BANYAK
Gigi dia belum penuh lagi
tapi naik hampir semua sekali harung
5 months ago gigi ada 8 batang je 4 atas and 4 bawah
tapi now taring, geraham semua naik serentak
aku pulak excited gila tengok
nasib baik tak demam ke apa
tapi bahana nya dia suka menggigit
habis semua benda playpen, mainan, peha aku nak digigitnya
tapi abah dia taknak pulak dia gigit
aku jugak nak ditalanya....sabo jela

4. EMOTIONAL
ye anak aku ni drama king dia fuhhh boleh tahan jugak
tapi yang pelik time ada aku je drama king
surfacing kata kalau dia jaga kat rumah time aku takda elok je main
takde mengada
bila aku ada je mula la merengek sana sini
kalau dia x puas hati tak reti main mainan dia campaknya sambil
muka macam nak nangis pastu kata "heeeeihhhhhh"
nak tergelak betul aku
pastu bila time manja menggesel kat aku, abah dia cuba ambik
dia akan marah-marah bahasa dia dengan menggeliat2

5. MULA ADA KEFAHAMAN CAUSE-EFFECT
Cewah kemain cause effect bagai
bukan apa, dulu hamza tak berapa tunjuk dia faham sesuatu
now bila dia mula tunjuk dia faham aku happy sangat
contoh:

cause: aku pakai tudung
effect: terus tak tentu arah pusing2 pergi pintu sengih-sengih sambil tepuk tangan
kefahaman: yesssss ummi nak bawak jalan

cause: baling barang belakang almari tv
effect: dia pukul tangan dia sendiri sebelum aku bangun and buat-buat marah
kefahaman= ummi tak suka buat macam tu, so let me punish myself so she wont punish me
(aku tak pukul anak jangan buat andaian...but sometimes aku suka pukul tangan dia dengan 2 jari aku untuk menunjukkan benda ni jangan dibuat)

cause: aku bukak baju seluar dia habis
effect: dia terus berdiri kat penghadang tepi tangga
kefahaman: yessss ummi nak bawak pi main air..mandiiiii

cause: aku bagitau simpannn simpannnn
effect: terus simpan toys dia dalam playpen atau atas bekas
kefahaman: dia faham bila aku suruh simpan and kemas toy

tapi kefahaman dia masih basic lah
banyak lagi benda yang aku kena ajar secara berulang kali
contohnya bila aku mintak "nakkk"
dia buat tak tau je
sebab dia masih kurang faham nak tu maksudnya kena bagi barang tu kat aku
it's ok baby
slowly but surely

6. FAHAM BEBERAPA ARAHAN AND IMMITATE

Macam cause and effect jugak, hamza faham a few arahan
dulu sebelum ni langsung dia tak faham
Now kalau kata byebye, salam, minum, susu, sayang,
dia fahamlah
cuma dia tak boleh cakap balik je
contoh ada buku favourite dia "look at baby"
bila cakap hamza mana look at baby?
dia terus bawak buku tu kat aku
dari segi immitation pun tak berapa banyak lagi
dia takda immitate sikat rambut ke apa
dia just immitate facial expression mostly

7. SUKA BACA BUKU
At this phase dia suka gila hardcover book
bukan beriya baca pun
dia suka flip tengok gambar
but recently I bought 3 buku yang best gila
sebab ada gambar and tulisan and boleh tekan ada bunyi
sempoi je dia just tunjuk apple, car, boat
pastu ko boleh tekan button yang akan sebut benda-benda tu
so buku ni favourite dia sekarang
aku hari-hari bacakan untuk dia sambil point kat bunyi yang betul
hopefully dia dapat faham nanti

8. DAH MAKAN MAKANAN DEWASA
Yes, aku masih masak makanan hamza seberkhasiat yang boleh
tapi aku dah letak garam sikit
But i'm not that rigid anymore
sebab aku dah bagi dia makanan luar jugak
aku dah bagi cereal, calciyum, solivite
kalau coklat and ice cream cuma tumpang sikit-sikit kitorang makan je
aku tak bagi dia makan sepenuhnya
tapi makanan mamak aku dah bagi
he loves tosai gula planta
roti canai pun dah bagi tapi dia  tak berapa suka
nasi lemak his favourite

9. MINUM AIR MASAK
Akhirnya anak aku suka jugak minum air masak
Kira dulu kalau bagi nak taknak minum
but now sejak pakai botol straw ni dia akan minum sedut kemain lama
happy ummi tengok
susu masih champion
6oz every 2 hours ok
rabak jugaklah kalau S26 progress gold ni sebulan aku spend RM300-350
mungkin lepas 2 tahun ko minum susu murah sikitlah hamza
kata dah besar kan

10. BANYAK AKAL
Anak aku ni the only time dia diam ialah time tidur and minum susu
kalau tak...macam ULAT MENTIBANG mak aku cakap
ada je akal dia nak buat macam-macam
pegang buku ada 5 minit pastu tengok TV
pastu punggah mainan
pastu kemas balik
pastu main langsir tarik-tarik pulak
pastu panjat playpen siap masuk dalam
pastu panjat sofa
pastu main air purifier coway dia pi letak muka kat lubang keluar angin tu
pastu berdiri bergayut kat penghadang tangga
pastu campak mainan kat dapur and tepuk tangan
pastu tolak foot stool sampai jatuh
pastu berlari keliling sofa
penat berlari merangkak pula
pastu main remote dan boring dia campak and tepuk tangan
pastu campak handphone aku
pastu try dapat apa sahaja yang ada atas meja menjingkit2 nak capai
kalau tak dapat capai pi bawah meja pulak sambil cuba main steriliser
paling aku risau dia tarik atau tolak kerusi meja makan sampai jatuh
kerusi tu ringan so mmg senang je dia tolak
pastu dah boring baring kejap sambil stretch kaki
5 minit pastu bangun and ulang balik aktiviti di atas
aku tengok penat wey
tapi aku tak merungut
aku bersyukur
baguslah aktif
sila lah nak...main lah puas-puas

bulan 8 ni birthday hamza
not sure whether to throw him a party or not
tengok budget
kalau tak buat event pun
kita sambut bertiga pun takpa lah hamza
ummi rasa hadiah umur 2 tahun awak ialah bawak pergi main kat playland atau swimming
sebab ummi tak pernah bawak awak
macam-macam ummi fikir
germs especially
yeah i'm paranoid like that
sorry hamza dapat ummi macam ni
maybe bila dah 2 tahun your antibody is stronger
then i will feel much better.
love u son.

Son

17 September 2012
(Age: 17 days)

Can somebody explain to me how this tiny, wrinkly helpless baby
magically turned into this active, cheeky, 12 kilo toddler?

27 April 2014
(20 months 3 weeks)

Wow.
Time sure flies.
But I won't change a thing.
No matter how old you grow,
you will always be my baby...
That tiny, wrinkly, helpless baby boy.

Unthought Known

busy gila aku kat office ni sekarang
ambil peluang update masa lunch since aku tak selera dah nak makan kantin
nak keluar malas
kalau aku lapar sangat baru aku beli makanan kantin
dont get me wrong lauk sedap2 cuma hari-hari itu je...jemu wey

so last month aku ada bawak hamza pergi office kejap
merasa la pengalaman bawak anak drive selama sejam pegi office braving traffic jam
kisahnya bs aku tak sihat, pastu surfacing pulak kena buat submission penting
aku tak boleh cuti sebab ada meeting penting pukul 10 pagi tu
haa banyaknya penegasan penting disitu
so aku plan, bawak hamza pergi office, zul pegi submit since office tu bukak 8.30
9.30 dia kena datang amik hamza kat office aku
jarak tak jauh lah

kesian betul pagi-pagi dah kena mandi
takkan nak bawak anak muka masam kann
dia punya perghakk tu berlari sana sini
duduk kat meja aku adalah dalam 1 minit sebelum nak turun
last-last aku bawak pi surau haa berlari lah kau puas-puas
yg nasib baiknya pagi tu ada perjumpaan kakitangan
so semua staff masuk auditorium so aku lega sikitlah
sekali rupanya rules terbaru ni staff kena duduk ikut bahagian
dah kantoi disitu bila ko tak masuk dalam perjumpaan...tak pasall
takpe tu kisah lainlah

so masa terserempak pagi2 tu ada la staff ni cakap kat aku
"laaa dah ada anak sorang ke??? ingat tak kawin lagi"
perghhhhhh
dia punya bangga
aku macam ehh dah kawinlah
terima jelah pujian tu walaupun musykil takkan badan macam tong drum ni ko ingat tak kawin lagi

balik tu aku excited laa cerita kat surfacing pasal ada orang ingat aku tak kawin lagi tu
surfacing dengan muka selamba cakap
"ohhh mungkin dia ingat awak ni andartu"
T___________T

SENTAP MAK
terus tak jadi gloating
terus diam
konon nak bengang la kan
tapi pastu pikir balik...
ha'ahlaaa make sense la...dorang mesti ingat aku anak dara tua
yelah pergi office bukan jenis nak make up pun...powder pun jarang pakai
pastu baju jubah hitam -kelabu
tak bergaya langsung
pastu bukan reti nak pergi makan dengan staff lain
buat hal sendiri je makan kat meja
well I prefer privacy than listening to gossip kutuk orang sana sini

make sense
damn. hahahahahaha
so we had pretty good laugh about it
well at least now dorang takdelah ingat aku andartu kan
kira okla tu laku jugakla aku dah kawin ada anak...kakakakkaka
bagi can laa aku sedapkan hati sendiri
tengok gambar anak lagi bagi rasa bahagia
ngeeee
